I called my friend Amanda the other day because quite frankly the day had been pretty rank. Lots of whining, fighting, etc. It had been going on for days. I had been using all my usual tricks to amend bad moods, and nothing was working. Amanda listened, sympathized, then told me that seasons like this just come and she sees it as God bringing up the dross.
If we didn't have seasons when everyone was miserable, we couldn't see the underlying sins that have been stealthily causing problems. Her advice was to pray and hang in there. Remember God's promises and His goodness. Remember His sovereignty.
It's good advice so I thought I'd share it with anyone else who might need it.
